Significant benefits of Hospital at Home service featured in Health Service Journal

Our Hospital at Home service continues to go from strength to strength since being launched more than three years ago. In an article published by the Health Service Journal (HSJ) this month, our Chief Executive Elliot Howard-Jones explains how the service has potentially contributed towards a reduction in A&E attendances, improved patient experience and eased pressures on hospital wards.

In the opinion piece, Elliot shared his views on the significant benefits of Hospital at Home, explaining: “At our Integrated Care Coordination Hub in Stevenage, a team of highly skilled GPs, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, and paramedics oversee patient care. They work seven days a week triaging patients, dealing with a variety of ailments and utilising a capability rather than a pathway approach; so if we are capable of looking after the patients in the community, we will accept them onto Hospital at Home.”
