Interpreter services
We offer a confidential and professional interpreting service for clinical appointments, including British Sign Language, for patients who are not able to understand and to be understood in spoken English.
Friends and relatives are welcome to attend appointments to give support if the patient wishes, but are not expected to interpret as they may not be familiar with health terminology.
Anyone wanting to request an interpreter must state this to a member of staff as soon as possible before an appointment is made, highlighting your language to help us provide a safe and effective service.
