Local people in Waltham Cross, Cheshunt and surrounding areas can now benefit from Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT)’s re-opened Waltham Cross Health Clinic after the successful completion of a top to bottom £2million refurbishment.

For some people who have had coronavirus (COVID-19), their symptoms can last for a long time after the initial infection has gone.

Following government guidelines, some children aged 12 to 15 are being offered the COVID-19 vaccination if they have a higher risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 or if they live with someone who has a suppressed immune system.

The start of the new academic year marks the 1st September launch of HCT’s new Hertfordshire and East Anglia School Age and Community Immunisation Service which will protect more than 550,000 children and young people across Hertfordshire, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk each year.

HCT has appointed two new Non-Executive Directors to the Board, Rukshana Kapasi and Rohan Sivanandan.
