ChatHealth Parentline text message service for parents and carers of children and young people

Following the success of the ChatHealth text messaging services for school-aged children, the Public Health Nursing team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is pleased to launch a new text messaging service for parents and carers.

From 29 July 2024, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm, parents and carers of children and young people aged 5-19 will be able to contact the School Nursing service by texting the ChatHealth Parentline number on 07312 263002 with queries or concerns. These concerns can include:

  • ·       Behaviour management
  • ·       Development
  • ·       Sleep
  • ·       Healthy eating
  • ·       Toileting
  • ·       Weight management
  • ·       Emotional health
  • ·       Wellbeing

Provided the message is sent between 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday, our School Nurses will aim to answer a query within 24 hours. (This excludes weekends, Bank Holidays and school holidays.)

This new service aims to avoid the long waiting times and other difficulties families can have when making appointments to see someone in person. This text messaging service will allow for a quick response from a trained healthcare professional with advice or signposting services.

If you are a parent or carer of a children or young person aged 5-19, contact the ChatHealth Parentline on 07312 263002.
