COVID-19 vaccinations: Stevenage vaccination centre to move to new town centre location

On 13 April 2022, HCT’s mass vaccination centre currently operating out of Robertson House, Stevenage will relocate to 66-68 Queensway, in Stevenage town centre.

Robertson House was one of the first vaccination centres in the country to open, in January 2021, at the height of the pandemic. Over 200,000 vaccinations have been delivered at the centre since then, thanks to a team of dedicated staff and volunteers.

Robertson House is owned by Hertfordshire County Council and is an important venue which provides space for health and social care staff to receive training. After more than a year of allowing HCT to use their venue, HCC needs to start returning to business as usual and they need the space at Robertson House for these activities to resume. In addition, as the government unfolds its ‘living with COVID’ plans we need to consider how COVID vaccinations will become part of our everyday life. When it came to renewing our lease, we wanted a venue that was part of the local community and would more easily suit people’s lifestyle. The Queensway venue fulfils both of these requirements.

Thank you to our staff and volunteers who have made the running of Robertson House so successful.
