Covid-19 Spring vaccination programme is off to a big start

The Covid-19 Spring vaccination programme is underway, having gone live on 15 April with large clinics opening on 22 April. Naomi Mason (Deputy Director of Ops, Children and Young People), wanted to share her experiences visiting some of the clinics this week:

“It was fantastic to visit Castle Quarter in Norwich and the Grafton Centre in Cambridge this week – huge thanks to Sarah McLean and Cathy Law for showing me round. The teams are fantastic, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Each site had an amazing 500 patients booked in every day! Our other teams in Hertfordshire and BLMK have also been incredibly busy, vaccinating those who are housebound, those in care homes, and setting up pop-up vaccination clinics. An enormous amount of work and planning goes into the delivery of the vaccination programme, and it was impressive to see it in action. Below are some of our staff hard at work – thank you for everything you do!”
