Congratulations to our 2022 Queen's Nurses

A photo of a hand holding the Queen's Nurse badge. It is gold and seed-shaped with a blue border.

We are very pleased to announce that four more HCT nurses have been awarded the prestigious title of Queens Nurse. Congratulations to:

  • Mary Heffernan - Clinical Quality Lead - Children and Young Peoples Nursing
  • Pauline Minagh - Locality Manager - Welwyn and Hatfield ICT
  • Anita Roberts - Safeguarding Adults Specialist Nurse Practitioner
  • Mark Whiting - Consultant Nurse, Children's Community and Specialist Nursing

The title of Queens Nurse (named after the Royal Charter that was granted to the Queens Nurse Institute in 1889) is awarded to nurses who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice in the community.

Mary, Pauline, Anita and Mark join the growing number of Queen’s nurses working across our services to champion the value and specialism of community nursing and the very unique position community nurses are in to work alongside multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver the best care for patients.
